Have you ever asked yourself:

  • Who represents my neighborhood in town government? “,
  • What is the town council working on these days? “, or
  • Who should I contact in local government to help me with an issue I’m having?

Well, NJ 11th for Change has the event for you!

On Thursday, April 22 at 7:30pm, they’re hosting Everything You Wanted to Know About Town Councils (But Were Afraid to Ask), a virtual event featuring journalist Julie Burstein and town council members from Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Sussex Counties, including Patrick Antonetti, Cindy Matute-Brown, Christine McGrath, A.J. Ricciardi, Fran Ritter, and Peter Yacobellis (Councilperson at-large in Montclair!).

As NJ 11th for Change writes, “Town Councils are a fundamental building block of our municipal governments. They have tremendous power over how our towns function, over the bills we pay, and over the character of our towns. Isn’t it time we all understood how they worked? Isn’t it time we started to make our voices heard on a municipal level?”
